The Accounting Manager will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, confident in their ability to professionally convey information to various departments in the organization. Will be responsible for requiring high-volume processing of customer invoices, posting payments, collecting prepayments, and reconciling accounts.
You will:
- Collaborate with all company departments on a continuous improvement path.
- Conduct budget planning and administering the company budgets.
- Monitor fiscal performance against budget and reporting on variances.
- Provide, administer, and review the company’s financial policies.
- Maintain responsibility for the fiscal integrity of all financial reporting.
- Arrange for audits of company accounts.
- Ensures compliance with internal and governmental policies, rules, and regulations.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations, ensuring high accuracy and integrity.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliation, providing an accurate income statement and balance sheet.
- Administer and manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments with our Accounting Specialist.
- Oversee and audit customer invoicing process with our Accounting Specialist.
- Submit sales and use tax returns in a timely manner.
- Analyze reports for accuracy prior to distribution to the company President and its owners.
- Manage the company cashflow through proven methods.
- Provide direction and input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records, and documented procedures.
- Examine and evaluates internal methods and procedures for adequacy of controls.
- Manage our bi-weekly payroll with our third-party provider.
Education and Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial statements.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with QuickBooks accounting package.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA (preferred)
- 1-3 years of management experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in using multiple technology tools and applications.
- The ability to work in a team environment and self-sufficiently by themselves.
